A living and lifestyle development, Anelay provided high-end living, and dynamic public spaces to create an entertainment and lifestyle destination.

Positioned on the corner of The Strand and Kennedy Street, the development’s feature was the 2-storey bar & eatery. The family-friendly facility combined multiple kitchens and casual food options, bars, kids areas, and a spectacular outdoor roof terrace, which all blended to create an all-day dining and entertainment venue.

The rear of the lot included a 7-storey apartment development with uninterrupted views of the ocean; a design which redefined high-end apartment living in Townsville. The building is enveloped in glass to encourage transparency, with other facades softened with vertical greenery to suit the permanent accommodation style.

Anelay Townsville launched in late 2021 but was acquired in mid-2024, by the Kickon Group, a larger hospitality operator with multiple venues across Victoria and Queensland. The venue has since been rebranded as The Beach Hotel under this new ownership.
